Terms of Service

1. What ERA is
ERA is an evidence-retrieval and writing assistant for speech- language pathologists, students, and educators, operated by The Speech Boutique Pty Ltd (trading as Speech Path Tech), an Australian company. ERA surfaces evidence from your uploaded library, vetted SLP sources, and medical-literature indexes. ERA is not a clinical decision system, electronic health record, or medical device, and outputs must always be verified against primary sources and your professional judgement. See our Clinical Disclaimer for full detail.
2. No PHI
You agree not to submit Protected Health Information, patient identifiers, or personally identifiable client data to ERA — this includes names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, contact details, addresses, and ages over 89. ERA is not covered by a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement. If you accidentally submit such data, contact us so we can purge it.
3. Account and use
- You must be a licensed clinician, supervised student, or educator in a relevant allied-health field.
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe.
- One person per account. Don't share access.
- Don't attempt to access another user's data or to reverse-engineer the service.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Free accounts include up to 5 prompts per day. Pro is $49 USD per month, billed by Stripe, with unlimited prompts and full library features. You can cancel any time from Billing; access continues until the end of the paid period. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
5. Uploaded content
You retain ownership of PDFs you upload. By uploading, you grant ERA a limited licence to store, index, and embed the content so you can search and annotate it. We do not share uploads with other users or use them to train models. You must have the right to upload anything you add.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
ERA is provided "as is" and "as available". Evidence-grade badges, DOI checks, citations, AI-generated summaries, and search results are best-effort and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. We disclaim all implied warranties to the extent permitted by law. Always verify against the source before clinical use.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Speech Boutique Pty Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or clinical outcomes, arising from your use of ERA. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other non-excludable consumer protection laws.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Billing. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or attempt to harm the service. On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes will be heard in the courts of New South Wales, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
